The Second Story Gallery, located on the second floor of the Healing Center, is pleased to announce the gallery’s art exhibition “INDIVIDUALS: Figurative Group Show.” The exhibition opens to the public on January 13th, 2024, with a reception to meet the artists from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The exhibit runs through February 3rd, 2024.
The exhibiting artists are Aron Belka, Sean G. Clark, Ruth Owens, Trenity Thomas, Thomas Walton, Emre Karaoglu, Jamie Chiarello, Carey Lamprecht, Salah Youness, Raz Garcia, Margaret Davis, Louis Marinaro, Ben Hamburger, Ben Markos, Jonathan Hodge, Carol Peebles, Jen Karaoglu, Mine Nil Elcin, Carrie Beene, Carl Joe Williams, and Piki Mendizabal.

INDIVIDUALS: Figurative Group Exhibition
January 13 – February 3, 2024
The Second Story Gallery is pleased to exhibit works by artists who have explored various aspects of figurative artwork. Exhibited are examples of artists’ mastery of innovative tools, subject matter, and chosen techniques. This exhibition is an interpretation of figurative artwork within the collective consciousness. The participating artists incorporate painting, sculpture, and drawings utilizing various media and figure approaches to initiate a new conversation about what portraits and figures mean to us.
Human bodies and faces embody many deep emotions in the routine struggle of life. As an observer, when you watch daily life, you can feel these emotions. The images we paint of the human body act as a bridge for us, a way to express to others what we feel from the people we see in daily life.
